Welcome to the Holy Grail Sports Bar's website. New Zealand’s biggest sports bar, the Holy Grail provides an entertainment experience second to none. Opened in 2000 in the converted art-deco Avon Picture Theatre building, the Holy Grail has proven to be a Mecca for sports fans, punters, and partygoers. The multi-level 17,000 square foot complex, all focussed on a giant 10-metre projector screen, caters for 1000 patrons throughout its four bars, award-winning restaurant, 70-seater indoor grandstand, and private function areas. With an on-site T.A.B., Champions Of The World outlet, pool tables, Casino, and late night music and lightshow, the Holy Grail is a truly unique destination. The Holy Grail has a strong connection with sport of all codes, but none more so than rugby – we are the official Home of Canterbury Rugby and the Crusaders, and are staunch, unconditional supporters of our team. The complex is regularly packed out when they’re playing, and if there’s anywhere that offers a better big game atmosphere then we haven’t heard about it.
